Hey there,
Okay...you begged, yelled, and maybe even cried...so here I go. The first official Santa Shout Out for 2011 goes to Lucas and Brady!
They get the honors because they remembered Santa's birthday and gave him his favorite candy. I ate the last piece yesterday! I want you to know that I have been checking in and you both have been trying very hard to be good. Keep it up! (Here's a great example of the both of you with Tiegen!) Santa wants to thank you two again for remembering my birthday, and your gift was a really good treat.
I have been really busy here for the most part, and we have broken a few photo records. It is nice it be busy and the kids are sooo cute. Today we had a lot of "lookie lews" and "check me outs" but we still did okay from where I was sitting.
We had one boy 4 yr old boy today who would NOT sit with Santa for a picture. After 35-40 minutes, we still never got a great picture...even with me, two helpers, and the boy's parents all involved, we never achieved getting him on my lap. (He would do fist bumps, and high fives, and come to me if I was NOT in the chair.) The parents tried candy and money, and the helpers were even blowing bubbles! Nope, he wanted nothing to do with any of it. FINALLY, he looked at me and ran right to me to give me a hug. So I gave him a BIG long Santa hug (and I mean big). We took a lot of photos and I think it came down to the hug and the fist bump. I don't know what they picked.
I probably have said this a hundred times, but I don't understand why people LOVE the screaming kid picture? We had one where the mom said, "Are you ready, Santa?" and I just had to ask why. She said, Last year my son screamed his lungs out and he's most likely to do it again." PLUS she has a new son (a one yr old) as well. Soooo, she wanted to do the "Plop and Run" with both kids and hope for screams. Well, the older one did not disappoint. He was purple faced in 2 seconds! The younger one came and loved Santa, and smiled! The mom was almost in tears as she wanted both to be screaming. Santa is not one to disappoint, so as mom was coming to get her kids I looked at the younger one and he let out a scream! Mom was thrilled! Santa has two screaming kids, and the kids waiting in line for their turn are about ready to faint. Merry Christmas?
Santa wanted to share a few photos today, but one of my helpers forgot to remind me to take the pictures home with me. So I will share some photos with my next blog. (If I remember) :o)

29 days...not that I'm counting!
Hi everyone!
In the past few days it has been a sight to be seen, for sure. Where do I begin?
On the weekends Santa has to use a restroom kind of far from his big chair. Well, lets say some people get surprised when they see Santa. I was walking into the Men's room and a little boy was at a kids urinal. As he heard me walk in, he got quite a surprised look on his face and turned to look at Santa....HOWEVER, he was not done yet. Dad was there and let out a holler, then things got turned around. Let's just say, not all surprises are good ones!
The other day I was in my big chair and a mom wanted pictures of her kids with Santa. Sounds simple. But her 4 kids were 18 and older. Just before we took a second photo, one of the boys decided that he needed to hug his sister. Only one problem. My jaw was in the way! So Santa had a right cross to the jaw. (It's still a little sore.)
Oh, and on the same day, a toddler went a bit wild on Santa's knee, yanked on my overalls and I heard a loud tearing sound! He ripped out one of the studded gold buttons that the shoulder strap fastens to. Off to the repair shop for them! (Where's Mrs. Claus when I need her?)
I'm sure by now you are wondering when I'm going to share a photo or two. I added a few below with some captions under each one.
I hope you enjoy them and had a great last weekend in November.

Ok, you asked for it! I'm back.
Let me first say, "Hello!! to all of you who contacted Mrs. Claus and asked me to do a blog again." I am happy that I really do have some online followers. I thought the blog was only being read by me and Mrs. Claus.
After much thought I have decided that I would make blog entries every few days or so when things are hopping (oh, wait that's the Easter bunny's line)...when things get sliding along.
OK, lets all get caught up.
Santa arrived a week ago today so I could slide into meeting with the kids. After an almost GREAT ride over here by my Chief Pilot Elf John (we hit some fun weather near our destination) I was picked up by the Photo Set Manager. As he was driving Santa to the hotel, he asked if I was ready for a TV promotion spot that I was going to do at the mall in an hour!? SOOO after some discussion, and finding out some last minute changes, Santa was ready to go. I arrived at the set and it was great! Kids started to call out my name, and some came over to see if I was ready to start seeing all my fans. Sorry to say, I was not able to sit with the kids then but we did talk, do high fives, and a few fist bumps as the TV crew ended up being 45 minutes late. Then after some glitches it was my turn for the TV crew, and it went really well (of course).
Last Saturday was the big day to start seeing all my little friends, and I was excited to get going. So after a couple of introductions and a Q & A time (surprise!) we were off and sliding. Each day so far we have been ahead of last year's numbers in kids, photos, and smiles! People really like the workshop Santa style, or as they keep calling it the " relaxed Santa" style. Whatever it is called it works for me!
So what are the kids asking for is year? and how close have I come to being wiped out? (really close). All the big names are back like Barbie, Lego's, anything Transformers, and of course Apple anything.
Some of the more memorable requests include:
1) A 4-5 yr old boy asking for a blue sippen (chiffon) dress with a bow, and shoes! I asked the boy if he was asking for himself or mom? Yep, mom snuck in an order.
2) Another very little boy kept asking for all girl items - makeup, dresses, shoes and so on. I looked at mom and she said that is all he has been asking about for weeks. I even tried to move him into another direction and had no luck. I hope he has a great Christmas.
3) A young girl came with her family and just as she got in front of me...she looked up towards the sky with a look that only means one thing...she had an accident. Santa had a puddle on the carpet, but NOT on him. :o) Needless to say, she did not stay for pictures, and hurried off. Then the Mall's cleaning crew came in and cleaned up so I could continue seeing my fans.
4) A 15-yr old young lady came and asked Santa to mediate a dispute between her and her parents. (I do everything!) So the dialogue went something like this:
Santa: What am I mediating?
Young Lady: I want to get a tattoo and they said no.
Santa: Why would you want to get a tattoo?
Young Lady: It's a form of self expression. It's art!
Santa: What do you want to get? A little heart?
Young Lady: Yes.
Santa: You are a very pretty girl and you should not listen to your boyfriend.
Young Lady: My boyfriend didn't tell me to get the tattoo.
Santa: Uh-huh. You should try a sticker first!
Young Lady: Okay...?!?
Santa: Merry Christmas!
Today is Thanksgiving and Santa gets the day off...so I am going to take a Santa nap...again. Hope everyone is having a GREAT Thanksgiving!! I hope you will like the new way I'm posting my blog. If you have ANY questions, feel free to talk with Mrs. Claus. :o)
