I know it has been awhile since my last post, but I have been very busy. Also I am a tad under the weather...
A very nice lady came up to me and said that I am now hanging on her wall. Her grandson had his picture taken with me last year...and he was scared...but I knelt down and chatted with him. Well, grandma was so taken by that picture that she had it copied into an oil painting. Now it hangs in her living room. That's kind of cool, if I do say so myself!
On Saturday, a new record was set for the longest wish list!! It was delivered to me by a young girl and measured over 25 feet long. The elves are going to have fun with this one!
Speaking of elves, here's a picture of Elf Peter. You may have seen him before because when he's not working at the North Pole, he works at a famous park in Florida.
I thought it might be fun for you to see an example of one of the many wish lists I receive from one of my many fans:
Dear Santa Clause,
My behavior has been pretty good this year. I am going to try to better by not saying, "no" to mom and helping around house. I have been helping my mom vacuum, unloading the dishwasher, taking out the trash, and taking care of my cat.
For Christmas, I would like Legos, electric scooter, massage chair, popcorn machine, Walkie Talkies, cotton candy machine, and a Wii Sports Resort.
I will be leaving you milk and cookies on Christmas Eve. I hope you can bring me some of the things on my list. Have a safe flight.
Love,
Bobby
I must also share with you that yesterday, a 4-year old girl was brave and gave me her pacifier so that I can pass it along to another little boy or girl who needs one. Santa is always happy to pass along very special items from one child to another. Good job!
The other day, Santa did not know that he was mediating a conflict between a son and his parents about Christmas. The boy (around 13 yrs old) sat on my lap and said, "Santa? What do you think about me going to Jamaica for Christmas?" I asked, "You mean with your family?" He said, "No, with somebody else." I looked at him square in the eyes and said, "Sorry, buddy. The answer is no. Christmas is a time to always spend with family." He hung his head, got up, and walked away. (I did wish him a Merry Christmas.) Then off to the side the boy shared with his parents what I said. All of a sudden, the boy's father yelled with his arms stretched straight up in the air, "Yes, Santa! You're the man!! Thank you VERY much!"
I found out later that the boy and his parents agreed that whatever Santa's answer was would stand about whether the boy would go to Jamaica with his friend's family...or stay home. The outcome was completely up to me...and I didn't even know it. Now that's Santa Power at it's best!
Well, I hope you enjoyed catching up with me and the pictures. Santa needs his beauty sleep, so I must stop blogging until another day.
Big Santa hugs,
Santa
